Council President Dr. John J. Errigo III opposed a $59,500 bond anticipation note, explaining that Fieldsboro already had sufficient surplus funds and that borrowing again was unnecessary. He emphasized that scare tactics about a potential “default” were misleading and that the real issue is transparency in financial management. Dr. Errigo reaffirmed his commitment to responsible spending, accountability, and ensuring residents know how every tax dollar is used.

Reflection of why this race means so much to me and why I keep standing up for our residents of Fieldsboro!
Hi friends,
These past six months have been some of the most grueling and eye-opening of my life. I never imagined that running for Mayor would mean uncovering so much dysfunction or that standing up for what’s right could be this wild. Even on the hardest days, I remind myself why I started this journey: because Fieldsboro deserves honesty, accountability, and leadership that truly puts residents first.
I still believe and will always believe in being honest with residents and telling the truth about what needs to be addressed. Not for political gain, but so we can work through our challenges together and understand what we’re really dealing with.
Every time I walk around Fieldsboro, I’m reminded of how much I love our town. We have such a beautiful community filled with kind, hardworking, and caring residents who make it feel special. It’s those moments when I see neighbors wave, kids playing, or someone taking pride in their front yard that remind me why I fight so hard.
If you’ve followed my journey and believe in what I’m trying to do, I’d be so grateful if you could follow and share my page: 👉 John Errigo for Fieldsboro Mayor https://www.facebook.com/share/1BfRjRnZUF/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Your support, even one like or share, helps more than you know.
Bluntly, if we don’t have a strong turnout on Election Day, the status quo will prevail. And if that happens, we’ll wake up in 2030 facing the same problems we have today. If our community truly wants reform, we need to step up, roll up our sleeves, and focus on solving real issues, not personalities or distractions that divide us.
Thank you for standing with me. I’m still standing because I believe in the good in our town and in doing what’s right, no matter how hard it gets.
I want peace for our community through honesty, integrity, and a shared commitment to do good for all of us. 💙

Last Social Media Post Before the Election

Final Message Before the Election: From the Heart
Sometimes politics brings out noise, rumors, and distractions — but leadership means staying focused on facts, not fear.
In just 2 years and 10 months on Council, despite constant pushback, I delivered real results for residents:
•Launched the Borough Website after years of delay, bringing transparency and public access online.
•Created online bill pay, so residents can finally pay water and sewer and tax bills easily and securely.
•Completed the 20-year White Hill Mansion lease, protecting a historic landmark while saving taxpayers money every month.
•Brought Fieldsboro into state compliance by sponsoring and passing the state-required encumbrance accounting system, moving from outdated QuickBooks 2005 to the approved Edmunds financial system used statewide.
• Strengthened oversight and ensured compliance in the Borough’s sewer and financial systems — ensuring Fieldsboro now follows proper state guidelines and is under review for needed reforms.
These are the kinds of results that come from courageous leadership that shows up — not politics that hides problems.
I know some people are tired of the tension and just want things to feel peaceful again. I understand that. But real unity doesn’t come from pretending everything’s fine — it comes from having the courage to face problems honestly and fix them together.
And to my supporters — thank you. I know there have been moments when it’s been hard not to lose hope. I’ve felt that too. The smears, the lies, the misunderstandings — they hurt. But through it all, I’ve stood strong on one truth: I ran this race to do the right thing, and I will never stop fighting for what’s right.
Now, we have a choice. We can let Fieldsboro slip back into the broken patterns of the past, or we can move forward toward a future built on integrity, transparency, and truth.
This isn’t just my decision, it’s ours. When you make your choice, I ask only this: vote based on truth, not fiction. Vote for leadership that shows up, speaks honestly, and never gives up.
No matter what happens, I’m proud of this campaign. I’ve given it everything I have, my time, my energy, and my heart — because I believe Fieldsboro deserves better.
This will be my last social media post before the election.
I know everyone will make their final decisions in their own way, in their own space — and I respect that. From here on, I’ll continue sharing updates and information only on my website until the election is decided.
Thank you for standing with me.

Public Statement – Transparency and Public Health

This isn’t about politics. It’s about keeping our community safe and healthy.
When the state (NJDEP) sends a violation to a town’s sewer system, that letter is public right away. There’s no secret process and no rule that says the Mayor or sewer committee can hide it from the Council or the public. Everyone has the right to know what’s going on with our sewer system.
To make sure we get the truth, I filed an OPRA request today, October 13, 2025, with the NJDEP asking for the full details, the violation, any new fines, and the action plan. Residents deserve the facts straight from the source, not rumors or half-answers.
Let’s be honest: some people try to make it sound like “everything’s fine” when it’s not. But pretending problems don’t exist never fixes them. The only way forward is being honest and transparent with residents.
Transparency isn’t optional. It’s our job. And I’ll always choose honesty and accountability over politics.

Fieldsboro Deserves the Truth, not insider loyalty protection

News Update: September 29, 2025
Public Health Media Advisory:
Fieldsboro, NJ — This is a public health announcement. Fieldsboro’s sewer plant is leaking untreated waste into the Delaware River, releasing E. coli and other harmful bacteria. That puts our most vulnerable residents, infants and the elderly, at risk of serious illness. The danger does not stop at Fieldsboro’s borders: downstream communities including Florence, Burlington, Beverly, Delanco, Riverside, Riverton, Palmyra (NJ), and across the river in Levittown, Bristol, and Croydon (PA) are also at risk as contamination flows through the shared river ecosystem.
On June 10, 2025, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) issued a violation notice for Fieldsboro’s sewer plant — just two years after an $81,000 fine in March 2023 for similar failures. Despite the seriousness of these violations, the notice was not made available to the public until it was obtained through an OPRA request.
Mayor David Hansell and Sewer Plant committeeman Tim Tyler, refuse to acknowledge or inform residents of this public health threat since June 10, 2025. Instead of transparency and solutions, Borough leadership is attempting to cover up the problem. Residents deserve accountability, not more cover-ups.
I am calling on state regulators, local officials, and the public to demand urgent action to bring Fieldsboro’s sewer plant into compliance before this becomes a wider health disaster.
Immediate corrective action is needed to bring the sewer plant into compliance and protect residents’ health and safety. Continued delays increase the risk of exposure to dangerous bacteria and put neighboring towns along the Delaware River in harm’s way.

Feedback on a new Fieldsboro Recreation & Community Center
Community Feedback Wanted
I’ve been thinking about this, and some residents have mentioned it too: how great would it be to have an indoor recreation or community center, funded through grants and private donors so it could be a tax-free gift to our residents.
I’d love to hear your thoughts:
Would you support a Fieldsboro community center or recreation hall?
Yes, definitely
Maybe, let’s explore it
No, not needed
And if you have ideas for what you’d like to see in it, please comment below; your feedback matters:
1. If we built a community center, what activities or programs would you use most: sports, fitness, classes, or events?
2. Should the space be family-focused, or open to all ages with something for everyone?
3. What’s one feature you’d love to see: gym space, meeting rooms, arts programs, or something else?

Unity, Solutions, and Progress for Fieldsboro, NJ

My husband and I didn’t buy our home in Fieldsboro to walk away when things get tough. We chose to invest our lives here because we believe in the goodness of Fieldsboro, and I still believe in it deeply. Over the past year, I’ve worked hard to expose the problems that needed to be brought into the light, because residents deserve the truth. But as we move into the final months before November, I want to turn the page toward something bigger: solutions.
I see a Fieldsboro where families gather in safe, welcoming spaces… where finances are stable and transparent… where residents feel proud and connected again instead of divided. That’s the future I’m fighting for.
I know this campaign hasn’t been easy, but I won’t back down. Fieldsboro deserves joy again, and together, we can bring it back.
Let’s move forward together.

Official Statement from June 10, 2025, Primary Win: Thank You, Fieldsboro!
I am incredibly honored and deeply grateful to share that I have won the Democratic primary for Mayor of Fieldsboro.
This victory was not handed to us, it was earned through months of conversations, door knocks, community engagement, and listening to your concerns. Every vote cast was a voice for change, and I will carry that responsibility with humility and strength.
While this election shows we are a town with differing views, I believe we are not divided in spirit. We all care about the future of our community. My goal is to bridge those divides and be a mayor for everyone if I am elected in November, whether you voted for me, for my opponent, or chose not to vote at all.
Now, Let’s move forward, together. Let’s build a Fieldsboro where everyone feels included, heard, and respected. This is just the beginning, and I’m ready to continue showing up for you, every step of the way. I look forward to earning your vote for November 4, 2025.
