Councilmember Dr. John Errigo Endorses Mikie Sherrill for Governor of New Jersey
Fieldsboro, NJ – September 15, 2025, Councilmember Dr. John J. Errigo III, Democratic candidate for Mayor of Fieldsboro, proudly announced his endorsement of Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill for Governor of New Jersey in the 2025 election.
Dr. Errigo emphasized that New Jersey faces a critical choice in this election. “We cannot allow MAGA extremists to take control of our state, local municipalities, and counties in New Jersey. Too many candidates come forward pretending to be supportive of working families and equality, only to backtrack once in office and put politics over people. Mikie Sherrill has proven time and again that she puts New Jersey residents first,” said Errigo.
Congresswoman Sherrill has consistently stood with the LGBTQ+ community and fought for equality, fairness, and safety for all New Jerseyans. Among her accomplishments:
- Original co-sponsor of the Respect for Marriage Act
- Voted to pass the Equality Act every term
- Fought to end the trans military ban
- Supported LGBTQ+ youth through the Tyler Clementi & Safe Schools Acts
- Advocated for affordable access to PrEP and trans healthcare
- Joined court briefs defending trans rights and banning conversion therapy
- Proud ally working to make New Jersey safe, inclusive, and free from hate
“As someone who earned my PhD studying business management, finance, ethics, ethical leadership, equality, inclusive language, and team dynamics, I know what true leadership looks like,” added Dr. Errigo. “Mikie Sherrill doesn’t just talk about fairness, she delivers.
